HOUSING
Students will live in an apartment style living in the Kensington area of London, near historic Hyde Park.
Students are responsible for providing their own meals. Accommodations come with a refrigerator, and cooking facilities are available either in the apartment or on each floor.
COURSES
Students will spend thirty hours per week working at their externship (for 9 credit hours) and then will take two 3-credit classes to be taught either by distance learning or in the BYU London Center, such as:
LAW 769R Section 5 – Deals: The Legal Tools for Social Innovation
LAW 688 – European Union Law
Participants may not take any other courses on this program, including BYU Online courses, without approval by the program director and ISP.
COST
Students pay full-time Law School tuition which will cover housing, externship placement, instruction in the UK by a UK law faculty, and international health insurance coverage.
Does not include airfare, visa (approx. $1100), local transportation in London, personal expenses, meals.
Cost for Accompanying spouses: $6,000-$6,500
Includes Latter-day Saint BYU Graduate tuition for 1 credit hour, and housing in London.

Any accompanying children are required to have international health insurance coverage through the program, which costs an additional $500 per child.
TRAVEL
Students are responsible for purchasing their own airfare to and from the program. Airfare reservations must be made through BYU Travel. Students should contact a BYU Travel agent.

PREPARATION
Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the end of the program.
Accepted students to the program must participate in required pre-departure meetings.
Accompanying spouses need to be credit-bearing participants on the program. Spouses will also need to apply online and participate in pre-departure meetings.
All participants are required to show proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) at least two weeks prior to departure.
FUNDING SOURCES
Regular full-time Law School tuition scholarships and Federal Insured Student Loans and Pell Grants may be applied to international programs.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Students must be adults 18 years of age or older.

The application requires a $35 fee.
Students will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance into the program. Applicants will be interviewed once the application is complete.

International Study Programs (ISP) reserves the right to cancel this program, revise its offerings, or make any adjustments to the preliminary cost. If it becomes necessary for ISP to cancel a program, all program payments made to BYU ISP will be refunded to the student’s BYU financial account. ISP is the only office authorized to cancel any of its programs.
