Almost 40 percent of the land in Tanzania is protected. This talk will address the challenges in trying to balance wildlife and eco-system protection and human well-being within the country.
Elizabeth Kamili Mtui is an assistant lecturer and chief admissions officer at the College of African Wildlife Management in Tanzania, a pioneering institution in wildlife management training in Africa. Mtui has researched protected area land management and worked as a wildlife officer for the Tanzanian National Park Authority (TANAPA).
