Sarah Yerkes is a fellow in the Carnegie’s Middle East Program, where her research focuses on Tunisia’s political, economic, and security developments, as well as state-society relations in the Middle East and North Africa. Yerkes has been a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution, a CFR international affairs fellow, and has taught in the Security Studies Program and at the Elliott School at Georgetown University. She received a BA from Emory University, an MA from Harvard, and a PhD from Georgetown University. In addition to English, Yerkes speaks Arabic, French, and Hebrew.
