His Excellency Lars Gert Lose is the Danish ambassador to the U.S. Lose has had a long career in the Foreign Ministry, having served as permanent undersecretary of state and chief advisor of foreign affairs to the prime minister; political director, undersecretary for global politics and security; undersecretary for global security; and head of the foreign minister’s office, among others. He received an MS in political science from the University of Aarhus and an MA in international relations from the University of Warwick in England. Lose and his wife, Ulla Koelvraa Roenberg, are the parents of three children.
