Matthew RJ Brodsky is a Middle East expert, geopolitical analyst, and senior fellow at the Security Studies Group. Previously, Brodsky was the director of policy for the Washington, D.C.-based think tank, the Jewish Policy Center (JPC) and editor of the JPC’s journal, inFOCUS Quarterly. He has published numerous scholarly journal articles, international and national newspaper editorials, and magazine features, and wrote the chapter on Syria in the AFPC’s World Almanac of Islamism (2011 and 2014). Brodsky is a frequent contributor to the National Review, the Jerusalem Post, the National Interest, the Federalist, and the Hill. A specialist in Middle East affairs and Arab politics, he graduated magna cum laude with an MA in Middle East history from Tel Aviv University.
