Park Joon-yong was appointed consul general of the Republic of Korea in 2018. Park’s diplomatic service has included positions in the office of National Security; Korean embassies in China, Austria, and Myanmar; the Northeast Asian Affairs Bureau; and the Korean Consulate General in Vancouver. He received a BA in English from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul and an MPA from Seoul National University. Park and his wife are the parents of three children.
