Sam Lyman is an executive speechwriter at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, providing strategic communications support to the chamber president, CEO, and other senior leadership staff. Prior to joining the chamber, Lyman served as chief speechwriter to Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT).
Over the course of his career, he has ghostwritten op-eds in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, USA Today, Time, National Review, RealClearPolitics, and US News & World Report. Lyman has likewise written over 400 speeches, including Senator Hatch’s eulogy for the funeral of Muhammad Ali—an event
viewed by more than 220 million people worldwide. He graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BS in political science in 2014.
