During spring term, we aim to generate data and formulate policy recommendations on several issues: how best to combat structural injustice, gender-mainstream post-conflict truth-seeking, encourage victims and perpetrators to participate/testify and share evidence, maintain everyone’s physical security and privacy, and encourage victims to see crimes against them (e.g., sexual, political, or economic violence) as worthy of documentation. In particular, we will delve into major human rights documents and learn to code, rank, and improve them.
Counts toward credit for international development minor, women’s studies minor, Spanish major, political science major, sociology major (capstone), and English major, and may be approved for the psychology major (capstone).
