Mike Mangelson represents the USPTO as intellectual property attaché responsible for advocating U.S. IP interests, policies, and initiatives in China. Mangelson began his attaché post in 2014 as head of the Shanghai office. He is a former partner of Stoel Rives (Salt Lake City), and he chaired the Intellectual Property Section of the Utah State Bar. Mangelson is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and studied international relations and Chinese at BYU and Nanjing University and received a JD from BYU Law School.
