Liz Jevtic-Somlai is a native of Serbia and former teenage refugee who teaches and does research on child soldiers, nuclear proliferation, refugee crisis, girl child, and the future of the EU. Jevtic-Somlai worked with the CTBTO in Vienna, Austria, and had ten years of experience with the United Nations. Currently, she is a visiting professor in BYU’s Political Science Department and received a BA in international relations from the Kennedy Center, an MA in German from BYU, and a PhD in international conflict analysis at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.
